The leaves are changing, the air is cooler and the days are longer. It’s almost that time again…No, not Halloween or Thanksgiving….it’s the 2015 Annual Conference of Daily Money Managers ( which is being held in Scottsdale, AZ on November 6-8.

This will be my 4th year attending the conference, and I always return home with lots of great information. Here's a quick peek at some of the workshops being offered:  Elder Abuse, Documenting Digital Assets, the AADMM Code of Ethics and Is It Normal Aging or Dementia? The AADMM Annual Conference is 3 days of intense learning and a lot of fun! I look forward to writing about my experience at conference in future posts!

Excited to share that my DMM colleague, Roxanne Cheney and I are privileged to be panelists at this year’s conference. The title of our presentation is “Stepping Out of Your Business for Vacation, Illness, or Retirement: What are Your Options?” Our moderator is Lynn Plait, another esteemed Daily Money manager. It's been absolutely delightful working with these two individuals who are also fantastic Professional Organizers!

In addition to the conference, I’ve been working on my website which needed some updates. Those are almost completed and I look forward to sharing the results with you in the next few weeks!

In November, I will be approximately 6 months away from retirement as a social worker at Journey Mental Health Center. It will be great to have more availability to accept additional clients next year! After 40 years of working in the social work profession, this will be a BIG change! I will talk about this process in future posts. I'm thinking of calling it "Journey to Retirement", but not quite sure yet. What do you think? In preparation for turning 65 next year, I just ordered a new book which I will be reviewing over the next few months. It's called Medicare for Dummies!  Looking forward to sharing what I learn with my clients and readers!

On that note.....Happy Autumn!
