National Social Work Month

March is national Social Work month, and this year we are celebrating our social workers like never before. The National Association of Social Workers has named this year’s celebration Social Workers Are Essential and we could not agree more!

In the last twelve months, we have especially seen the importance of social workers. People across the country have been dealing with increasing levels of anxiety and depression as well as overwhelming grief for the loss of family members, friends, colleagues, essential workers and first responders from this pandemic.

Social workers are essential to our society at large, and will be a vital resource as our nation recovers from the devastating impact of Covid19.

I hope you’ll join us here at Mary’s Daughter in celebrating social workers all month.
