Over the past 6 years, in my role as a daily money manager and financial coach, I have spoken to many people about their finances and heard statements like "I don't understand money" and "I'll never figure out how to get ahead" or"I'm too much in debt so I can't think about my future goals".

I have made these same statements over the course of my life, but once I began to face my fears and look honestly at my debt, things began to change.

You don't have to live with debt and bad credit forever!

That is why I am such a strong advocate of financial education and Money Smart Week, the national campaign to increase financial literacy which was started in 2002 by the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago.

My passion for financial literacy comes from knowing the peace of mind that comes with having bills paid, adequate savings for retirement, an emergency fund and enough left over for a vacation once in awhile! That is wealth to me and I wish the same for everyone.

If you feel you're in a financial rut, check out the resources on the Money Smart Week website to get started on the road to financial wellness or contact me for more information at

Wishing you good health and prosperity!
