Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Mary’s Daughter was founded in 2011 by Barbara Boustead. She combined her extensive experience in social work with the fulfillment she found in organizing her mother’s medical, legal and financial documents.

When Mary could no longer manage on her own, Barbara’s sister, Bunny Craig became the primary caregiver, until Mary passed away in February 2014.

Realizing that her organizational skills combined well with her social work experience, Barbara began helping others with their daily money management and organizing tasks, including her brother, Eugene Hyatte, a Vietnam veteran, for whom she provided assistance with medical and financial paperwork through multiple hospitalizations and assisted living placements.

Barbara decided she wanted to assist others with their daily money management needs, especially seniors and veterans who did not have adult children or other family members or friends to help them.

While researching how she could provide these services, she found the American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM) website www.aadmm.com. Barbara knew then she had found her new career as a Daily Money Manager.

Meet Barbara

Barbara Boustead is an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Daily Money Manager (DMM) whose professional career has spanned over 40 years.

Since launching Mary’s Daughter, Barbara has become an active member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers www.aadmm.com, a membership organization comprised of individuals who provide daily money management services to their clients

I truly enjoy working with older adults and veterans, and feel that providing Daily Money Management and support to these individuals is a way to give back and honor them for all they have given to us. Being a Daily Money Manager is the culmination of my life’s mission and social work career, which has always been to serve others.
